The pages that follow will take you with us as we drove our RV a 1972 24 foot Pace Arrow motorhome south on the Pan-American Highway from California to South America. We spent more time in some countries and hurried through others. Detailed are all of our adventures and misadventures. We drove through 14 Latin American countries and over 20,000 miles before returning to the U.S.

It has been twenty-eight years since we drove our motorhome to Argentina. It doesn’t seem possible that much time has passed. We left Granada Hills, California on January 20th, 1978 and came back to Los Angeles in February 1979. Its time to write it down before all the memories are gone.

We literally kissed the ground when we got back to LAX.  The customs officer took one look at the seven of us and our 47 pieces of luggage and waved us through. It’s a good thing because she might have discovered the tarantula under Randy’s hat.
For information about the Pan American Highway visit Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. During the summer of 2004 my husband and I drove our 40 foot motorhome north to Fairbanks, Alaska. So we have driven the Highway from Fairbanks to Mar del Plata, Argentina.
