I figured I should add an update to this site as we did not continue our second trip south. We are still talking about "maybe" doing it sometime. However we are as the saying goes "getting along in years." By the end of the year we will both be in our 70s, but still remain very healthy and active.
We are now living Bill's dream. In the summer of 2007 we bought a house on five wooded acres In Nashville, Indiana. It has lots of room for all our interests and hobbies. Nothing flat enough for a horse but we do have two cats now. We spent the winter 2007/8 here just to see how we would like it. According to the locals, it was a very mild winter. The biggest snow fall came just as spring arrived and it was only six inches. But from now on we will probably travel south for the winter season. For now the motorhome is winterized and waiting for the nice weather. Luckily we have room at the house to park it.
As I said we now live in Indiana, in Brown County which is just about 40 miles south of Indianapolis.
Living in the tiny town of Nashville is a big change of life style for us former "West Coasters." Before our next door neighbors were ten feet away and we didn't know their names. Here they are five acres away and we've met all of them.

Our Next Trip South 2007
It's a pretty nice place to live and we love all the galleries and studios and entertainment available.
The fall colors were spectacular. And now we are experiencing our first Spring here. Everything is so green and there are wild flowers everywhere. Bill keeps busy working in his wood shop and gardening and I keep out of mischief by quilting and beading. Made a beading web site too http://www.beadedcustomdesigns.com in my spare time.
We will continue to travel, well that is if the price of diesel doesn't continue to rise. If it does we will probably go back to Mexico in the fall and winter there. We'll see.
I update my blog two or three times a month, just with tidbits about living here in Brown County.
So until we travel again I will sign off.
"Brown County is among Indiana's best-known and best-loved tourist destinations. And that is no accident.
From scenic views to stunning stage shows, from antiques to fine art, Brown County offers something for just about everyone.
The rugged countryside, product of the glacial ice age, has been compared to mountainous areas in the eastern United States. Take a drive through Brown County State Park and you'll know why this area is called "The Little Smokies."
Around the turn of the century, those scenic views and the equally colorful characters who populated the region, attracted artists. Today, more than 300 shops, galleries, studios and entertainment venues are nestled in these old hills. Today's artists still seek to express the beauty found in Brown County.
Other artists work in different media. Fine furniture, tapestries and gorgeous glass works are just the tip of the local crafts scene. Some work in clay, others in wood. All bring the flavor of Brown County to their endeavors."
